Established in 1973, Haycarb operates six activated carbon manufacturing locations in Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia, supplying a global sales network with marketing subsidiaries in USA, UK, and Australia. Listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange with an annual turnover of around US$ 130 million, Haycarb is one of the largest companies operating in the coconut shell activated carbon industry.

A Green Carbon Initiative
Haycarb promotes “green charcoaling” through “Recogen”, a patented project based on local expertise to reduce the carbon footprint of our activated carbon, to make it “the greenest activated carbon” in the market. A further backward integration of this sustainability initiative is “Haritha Angara”, where we provide technology and financial assistance to individuals with a buy-back guarantee of their materials, developing their entrepreneurship skills.

Haycarb’s environmental engineering arm, Puritas (Pvt) Ltd, specialises in water and wastewater systems. It has successfully implemented over 300 water and wastewater systems across a variety of industries in Sri Lanka and the region.
