LOT Polish Airlines, a popular European carrier, launched three direct flights per week from Sri Lanka expecting to attract 15,000 more tourists during the current winter season.
Holidaymakers, journalists and a trade delegation from Poland and across Europe touched down at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on the inaugural flight from Warsaw to Colombo this week.
This was in partnership with the aviation sector of iconic Sri Lankan multinational conglomerate Hayleys PLC.
